Tips

How to remove mould stains:

The warm and humid conditions in bathrooms are an ideal breeding ground for mould. It is best prevented by regular ventilation. In case of mould stains on the inside of the textile shower curtain, they are easily removed with a weak chlorine solution:

• Rinse affected  curtain in chlorine solution for 15 – 20 minutes, moving it all the time
• Wash  chlorine solution out with plenty of cold  water
• Wash with mild detergent and with delicate cycle at  40° C
• Hang up while still damp

 

The smell of plastic!

The smell of plastic of new vinyl/PVC-curtains will decrease after a few days. It will be further reduced by placing the shower curtain in a mild soap sud and rinsing it off with warm water before using it the first time.

Wipe off with a soft sponge and cleaner’s vinegar, then rinse off with water.

 

spirella bath rugs are produced with high quality yarns. They are machine-washable and tumble-dry safe. The high quality backing fabrics have an anti-slip latexed lower side and can be used on heated floors. When using them on synthetic floors, check the recommendations of the supplier.

How to dry the bath rugs

• Try not to let the rugs get soaking wet. Take care to let them dry out completely after use.
• If tumble-drying is not possible: spread the bath rug flat on a clothes horse to dry. Drying on a radiator /heating wall will damage the coating on the back.
• Tumble-dry for a voluminous pile with a soft feel. Dry with reduced heat
• Shake the rugs vigorously to remove excess fluff.

Tips

Cotton bath rugs

The excess fluff generated by washing natural fibre rugs will diminish to a minimum over time.

Recommendation:

• Wash with highest possible water level
• Use a laundry net
• Clean fluff filter and drum

Our bath inserts are equipped with numerous strong suction cups. Anti-slip designs and specific surface treatments ensure a safe footing.

• Wash at 30° C with mild detergent and delicate cycle. In case you use fatty soaps and cosmetics, more frequent washing is recommended.
• Low spin cycle is necessary

Tips

For a safe footing:

• Moisten clean tub bottom with water.
• Push down suction cups firmly, starting from the inner ones and continuing outwards.
• Check if bath insert is firmly in place before entering.
• Rinse bath insert with water after use.
• Hang up to dry (avoid radiators and direct sunlight).

PVC

The smell of new PVC can be reduced by soaking the bath inserts in mild soap suds. Rinse with warm water and, if needed, dry in the open air.
